The Afflicted are one of the Factions in P.A.M.E.L.A.. They are the diseased remnants of Eden 52's inhabitants, driven mad by their pain caused by the uncontrollable bone growths that come with The Affliction. Their madness is also a possible side-effect of the emotional outbursts that occur during the withdrawal of the Temporil Formula. The Afflicted appear as Eden 52's most common enemy and appear in several forms depending on the stage of the infection. This can range from mostly normal, violent citizens to full psychopathic mutations, like the Widows and the Reapers. It is unknown as of right now why The Afflicted are mutated in such different ways, however one thing is made clear: they are a serious danger to the player and an encounter with one will always involve combat.
